The next stop on our journey through Paris’ iconic streets is l’historique Rue des Barres. A hidden gem in the ever-bustling Le Marais lined with traditional architecture, bright cafés, and lush greenery, we were instantly inspired by this quiet street's timeless appeal.

Start the morning off sweet with one of Pastry Chef Yann Couvreur’s delectable works of art. Located on the charming Rue des Rosiers, his critically acclaimed sweet treats, full of colour and craftsmanship, are both gorgeous and delicious!
We recommend ordering à emporter and enjoying it in the stunning Jardins des Archives Nationales, inside the Hotel de Soubise, where you can have breakfast in the romantic atmosphere of 19th century architecture.

Art in the afternoon
Interact with artists at the open studios of 59 Rivoli. Founded in 1999 with the purpose of creating an alternative cultural experience, it is now one of the most visited contemporary art spaces in Paris. And it’s no surprise! There are 30 artist studios where anyone can walk though, explore cohesive expositions, and discuss the work on the spot with the artist.

Meaning, “little place” in Yiddish, the Pletzl is the historic Jewish quarter of Le Marais, where you can follow winding streets to discover quaint Jewish boutiques, delicious bakeries, and authentic restaurants with roots from all over the world.
We recommend stopping by L'As du Fallafel on Rue des Rosiers to try their Israeli-style falafel sandwiches. Not only are they bursting with fresh ingredients, they are also world-famous for their flavour!
