Inspired by the romance of the south of France, we introduce our special Summer Edition. Featuring our first collection Romance de Vacances, we focus on feminine designs and luxurious fabrications. From a breathable French linen, to lightweight sustainable cottons, our newest bright colour palette, really illuminates some of Blue Illusion’s timeless classics. Rosé wine is named after the French word rose, meaning pink. French Rose originated in Bordeaux, however in later years it was Provence that restored the French’s passion for Rosé. It wasn’t long before Spain and other parts of Europe discovered their own deep love for the light pink vin. In southern France Languedoc boasts the world’s biggest wine-growing region, and is now the number one source of French Rosé. For a cool, crisp drop, pick a Rosé from Provence. For something zestier with a hint of berry fruits, look for a Rosé from the Rhône Valley. Whatever your preference, be sure to kick back and indulge in un petit glass in the summer sun.

We found this beautiful print in the French archives, originating from The Rue Royal, Lyon, France. At the height of the industry, Lyon, France was the silk capital of all Europe. Thousands of working artists created hand-painted designs for the booming industry. The Rue Royale was the main street at the historic center of original textile art. Designs that were to become silk fashion textiles originated there.
