Guests are met at Laval train station and transported back to the château. Alternatively, private travel from Paris can be arranged upon request.
Arrive at Laval station for transport to the château. There, let’s relish in an afternoon of delights and a personal tour of the château and grounds. Afterwards, enjoy an intimate dinner on the terrace with your host, Suzie Jackson.
DAY one
Today we’ll visit a perfume atelier and learn how to create cologne at the Perfumer’s Cabinet of Curiosities followed by a gourmet lunch.
DAY two
Let’s take a tour of the Manoir de Favry followed with lunch in a medieval dining room hosted by the French owner!
DAY Three
Today we’ll explore Angers for a touch of shopping and great food. This town is famous for its history, art and museums. Fantastique!
DAY four
Choose your own adventure today! Perhaps you feel like relaxing by the pool, or visiting the château brocante shop. Or maybe it’s sightseeing and shopping? Whatever you choose, let’s end the day by watching the sunset while enjoying aperitifs and dinner at the château.
DAY Five
On the agenda today is a visit to Emmaus, the famous French thrift shop where you’re bound to find some treasures. We’ll also visit the best of the local flea markets for a day of brocanting (antique hunting)— Ooh, la la!
DAY six
Today will be spent learning Suzie’s favori French cooking techniques using produce from the jardin and local markets. For our final night, let’s frock up and enjoy a superb 4-course dinner in the Château’s grand dining room for the parfait way to say au revoir!
DAY Seven
Note - all activities are optional. You are always welcome to spend the day at the Chateau relaxing by the pool or enjoying the Chateau and grounds. Itinerary is subject to change seasonally.
