Leisure Travel

- Time In Annecy

With a history dating back to medieval times, Annecy overlooks snow-capped mountains and sits at the tip of a stunning aquamarine lake. Set on three canals, this charming town has been endowed the nickname ‘Venice of the Alps’.Wandering around the winding cobblestone streets of the Vieille Ville, or old town, is the greatest joy in a visit to Annecy.  Tourists tend to descent in the late morning, so beat the bustle with an early stroll. We particularly recommend visiting the old town on a Tuesday, Friday or Sunday when the local farmer’s market is in full swing. After buying some of the area’s most notable cheeses - tomme, reblochon and beaufort—and a little charcuterie, there’s nothing better than a leisurely lakeside picnic.

Modern Femininity

This season’s mood is feminine with a modern and polished spin. Silhouettes are ladylike, while the strong contrast of ink and chartreuse tempers any overt primness.

The Art Behind The Collection

One of our most treasured prints for autumn comes from Claude Vergely’s textile studio in Lyon. Paying tribute to François Pilâtre de Rozier's first manned balloon flight on 21 November 1783, this whimsical print transforms any outfit and uplifts your mood.

How To Wear

Discovered in an archive of vintage paintings in Europe, we immediately knew that this painting will inspire. Drawing from the whimsical and fun nature of the art, we mixed this light-hearted mood to create different options of the print. Featured in our favourite casual trapeze tee and a more elevated knit style top, these can be styled casually with a Bengajean® and sneakers, either with the clean denim wash or the new Lilac. Elevate the woven front knit top by pairing it with the 7/8th wide leg dress pant and a sling back heel. To finish off your look, add the beaded purse, which is great for keeping small necessities in a chic pouch. Add a hot air balloon pendant necklace for a touch of whimsy to any outfit.

Couleur Du Jour

Channeling the lilac found in many Annecy cottage gardens, new lilac is this season’s key colour. Contemporary silhouettes keep it feeling modern. Boasting the infinite wearability of denim but with an added air of sophistication, our lilac Bengajean® will become one of the most worn pieces in your autumn wardrobe. Pair with a striped blouse and chic floral scarf for an easy weekend look.
